Accessibility and Section 508: How will it affect software and Web development firms?

An article in InternetWorld talks about how some companies are complying with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Section 508 requires that Federal agencies' electronic and information technology is accessible to people with disabilities, including employees and members of the public. The deadline for compliance is June 21. Quoted from the article: So is this just a concern for federal government agencies?
